Villa Marzoni stands on a natural top in the centre of the village on the remains of an ancient fortification of the XV century. Traces of two truncated towers, the entrance arc and part of the ancient walls are still today visible in the villa park. Events, people, famines, wars and hereditary successions have let the castle decay since 1646. Since then, the lands and buildings standing within the fortified walls has been dismembered and acquired by the local farmers. Luigi Marzoni purchased the entire property in 1896 and built a beautiful country villa. You can enter the building through a wide court-yard with a porch on one side. The central part of the three-storey building shows in its interior various rooms with wooden panelled ceilings. A large meadow-cultivated and well-planted garden opens west of the building. Today it is seat of the Museum of the peasants’ civilization of the Novarese Plain.
