The church of the Madonna del Latte (whose original name was Santa Maria della Scaglia) is a finely wall-painted oratory in the middle of the country close to Gionzana. Wall-paintings of the XV century depicting Saints, the Virgin Mary with Child and some scenes of the Christ’s life, can be admired in its interior. The confirmation of the 15th-century dating can be noticed above a painting placed on the north wall, showing the “Virgin among Saint John the Baptist, Saint Michael Archangel and Saint Peter” ordered by Giovanni da Foscalina di Mosezzo. The wall-paintings, plenty of light decorations of the apse and the triumphal arch, are interesting. Most paintings can be ascribed to Tommaso Cagnola and Daniele De Bosis, exponents of the Novarese painting of that period
