The small devotional oratory dedicated to Saint Sebastian stands along Via IV Novembre. Till now, we have no certain news about the origin of the building. The first document dates back 1723 and more precisely to the “Catasto Teresiano” , where the presence of the “tiny church of Saint Sebastian” is reported. Then, in 1869, it is classified as “rural house” property of Counts Barbavara in the cadastre Rabbini. The building becomes property of the Caffino Family early in the XX century, who remains the owners still today. The little rectangular chapel was originally composed of two rooms by an arch and different kind of ceilings. The south ceiling is today covered with a sight wooden frame, while the north one has cross vault. Recently, the owners engaged themselves in great preservative restoring works, as much to discover two internal wall-painting depicting Saint John the Baptist, and likely Saint Defendente holding a castle. The saddleback façade, also, is shining again; a delicate Annunciation and Saint Rocco decorate its upper part. The wall-paintings in the oratory, after some critics, are from a late 15th century period and ascribable to Tommaso Cagnola’s style.
