The oratory dedicated to the Blessed Virgin and Saint Vito stands in the little graveyard of Cavagliano.
It was likely built up in Romanesque times but enlarged and reworked in the XV century. It shows a single nave with a small semicircular apse. The Gothic arch dominating the building back section is particular. The wall paintings covering the triumphal arch and the apse give a special scenic impression. They were made by painters close to the Gaudenzio Ferrari’s school between the XV and XVI century and recently restored. It should be pointed out that a similar depiction can be found in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie of Varallo Sesia. Some panels in bakes clay with leaf decorations can be admired on the external apsidal side.
