The church rises in the town centre and it is dedicated to Beata Vergine di Loreto and to Sant’Anna. Demanded by Rev. Gaudenzio Bovio around 1635, it has a rectangular shape, with one nave and two lateral chapels decorated with colourful marbles and it is seat of the Gonfalone fraternity since 1621, when it was founded. The major altar is the triumphal element of the church, with black marbles and Solomonic columns. The altar is described by Don Carlo Ardizio (1883- 1961): “...it is formed by its base, two big, slim candelabrums, the altar piece and two black columns decorated with two beautiful sculptured prophets, all inserted in a ledge covered with a wooden drapery that descends from a crown, held by a key brick and an iron tying. The angels holding the crown, the flying Putti nicely positioned on the draperies, the two statues of the prophets, the cornices, the splendour of golden decorations, the mixture of gold and black bronze give a Berninian grace to the altar”(Bernini was a Baroque sculptor and architect of 17th Century. His architectural conceits include the piazza and colonnades of St Peter's). The centre of the altarpiece was painted by an artist from Oleggio called Bartolomeo Vandoni (1603- 1676) and it depicts Madonna di Loreto, Sant’ Anna, Santa Domenica and , praying on his knees, don Gaudenzio Bovio(at his feet a paper with the date 1639 and the names of the saints). It is obvious that Bartolomeo Vandoni followed the style of Morazzone; the portrait of don Bovio, rich in details appears more realistic than the figures of the Saints and Virgin Mary. The figures introduce us to a stormy landscape, their look towards the appearance of the Virgin with Child followed by an angel choir. Other significant marks present in the Oratory are the Confraternity’s altar, completed when the chapel was renovated, around the mid 1700’s, rich in precious marbles and surmounted by frescoes attributed to Biagio Bellotti (1714- 1789) depicting: Faith, Hope, Purity, Charity and in the chapel the Assumption of the Virgin. The figure of the Virgin is beautiful, dressed with precious XVII century silk clothes. In the 1800’s it was replaced with a less interesting wooden statue of the Virgin, now kept in the confraternity altar.
